PUTNEY PARK

Public BBQ

Putney Park delivers a refreshing harbour-side retreat where Western Sydney meets waterfront leisure. The centrepiece is the netted swimming beach that opened in January 2025, offering shallow, protected waters perfect for young families seeking safe harbour swimming. Beyond the beach, an impressive playground features a towering slide that draws crowds, while nearby water fountains provide relief on warm days. The barbecue facilities and gazebos claim prime positions overlooking views toward Concord West, Rhodes, and Olympic Park in the distance. Fishing enthusiasts work the shoreline, kayakers launch from the water access point, and picnickers spread across generous lawns beneath established trees. Parking proves ample, though shaded benches disappear quickly on weekends. Clean toilet facilities and multiple sitting areas round out the amenities. For those seeking quiet, a ten-minute stroll leads to elevated rock outcrops offering peaceful harbour vistas away from the playground activity.
